GATE Energy announces the appointment of Russ Ford and Robert “Rob” Rice to their Board of Directors.
Russ Ford has over 35 years of experience in the oil and gas industry including technical, operational and leadership roles across a number of the onshore and deepwater assets.
Prior to GATE, Russ was EVP of Contracting and Procurement for Royal Dutch Shell with responsibility for Shell’s supply chain activity. Prior to that, he was EVP Onshore where he led Shell’s drilling, development and producing operations for the North American shale portfolio. He was Chairman of the Board of Aera Energy, a California-based EP company.
Russ has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan and an MBA from California State University. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Pacific Exploration & Production Corp., the U-M Energy Institute Advisory Board, and consults for companies on project specific matters.
Rob Rice has been successful at building high-performance teams and leading complex service organizations, commercial and operations teams, and manufacturing organizations.
Rob currently serves as the COO of Archrock, Inc. Previously, Rob served as President of Exterran Energy Solutions, LP., where he was responsible for driving organizational structure and process changes. Prior to this, his positions included being the Vice President of Hanover Compressor Company, Gulf Coast Business Unit, managing a leading global provider of oil and gas infrastructure and surface production solutions.
Rob has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Louisiana Tech University and served in the United States Airforce as a flight test engineer.
